Gary has worked in six schools across the UK from KS2 to sixth form. This has included being head or principal of three schools including taking a school to 'outstanding' and co-leading a pupil-referral unit out of ‘special measures’.
Gary has 33 years of teaching under his belt with the last 15 as a head teacher. A firm believer that teaching is the most important job in the world, he feels kids deserve brilliant teachers and school leaders, who eat passion for breakfast, inspiration for lunch and an extra helping of positivity for tea.
Gary chills out by climbing mountains, playing football, skiing and is a season ticket holder at Leicester Tigers. Being a Geordie, Gary has no choice but to eat, sleep, breathe and suffer through Newcastle United's wobbly life.
